Meet the 2026 NHDP Staff

Anika Rankila
Anika Rankila (formerly Linser) is a forward from Lino Lakes, Minnesota. She starred at Centennial High School, earning Ms. Hockey finalist honors, before playing five seasons at the University of Minnesota Duluth, where she became one of the most durable players in program history and earned multiple academic awards. After college, she signed with the Metropolitan Riveters of the PHF, but following the league’s closure in 2023 she continued her career overseas. Rankila had a standout 2023–24 season with Djurgårdens IF in Sweden’s SDHL, scoring 31 points in 36 games. Her strong play led to her being selected 36th overall by the Toronto Sceptres in the 2024 PWHL Draft, and she made her PWHL debut later that year. She has since continued competing at the professional level in Sweden, most recently with SDE HF in the SDHL.

McKenzie Revering
McKenzie Revering is from Alexandria, Minnesota who played as a defenseman at the University of Minnesota Duluth from 2017 to 2021, appearing in over 110 games for the Bulldogs. She showed resilience and leadership tand was named an assistant captain during her senior season. Before college, she was a standout at Alexandria Area High School and competed at USA Hockey’s Under-18 National Development Camp multiple times. After her playing career, Revering transitioned into coaching, working with youth players and at Alexandria High School. In 2025 she was hired as an assistant women’s hockey coach at The College of St. Scholastica, joining the collegiate coaching ranks. Revering’s career is marked by her commitment to the game both on the ice and behind the bench.

Sydney Brodt
Sydney Wolf ( formerly Brodt) is a forward from North Oaks, Minnesota, known for her leadership and consistent play at the collegiate, professional, and international levels. She played four seasons at the University of Minnesota Duluth, recording 98 points in 141 games and becoming one of only two players in program history to serve as team captain for three seasons. After college, Brodt played professionally in North America and Europe, including captaining the Minnesota Whitecaps in the PHF. She also competed in the SDHL with teams such as Linköping HC and Frölunda HC, winning an SDHL championship with Frölunda in 2025. Brodt won the Walter Cup with PWHL Minnesota in 2024, highlighting her success in the top tier of women’s professional hockey. Internationally, she represented the United States, earning gold medals at the 2016 U18 World Championship and the 2019 IIHF Women’s World Championship. Syd now is the head coach for St. Scholastica Womens Hockey
